Coachella interview: Ghostland Observatory

Those who have seen Ghostland Observatory live know that frontman Aaron Behrens was born to dance. His onstage antics have won him comparisons to Michael Jackson or Freddy Mercury—but with long braids and aviator sunglasses. His bandmate, Thomas Turner, looks like a mad scientist with his shiny cape and lab of synthesizers and drums, aided only by the lasers and fog that fill the stage. The Austin duo released their third album Robotique Majestique last year and are already preparing to head back to the studio. But first, they'll trek out to Coachella on Friday to kick out the electro-pop and show Southern California their much ballyhooed dance moves. Decider spoke to Turner beforehand about new lasers, going analog, and old pants.

Great interview with Thomas Turner, the robot half of a robot
making love to a tree. Brilliant!

The only place that I know of is their shows,
There's one here:
http://www.zazzle.com/ghostland_observatory_tshirt-235994303567893473 but it's pro'bly not the one you're thinking of.

I agree, they need to upgrade both their Myspace and Trashy Moped.

Because my GLO t shirt was late in arriving I called and got Thomas on the phone. t shirt arrive overnight.ist saw them on PBS ASL and I was a fan.
We met for the first time in person when I was walking outside the Greek Theatre in LA, I had told them I was 66 years old so when I showed up wearing my t shirt, Thomas recognized me. Saw them and hung out with for three performances. First in line. I'll go to Dallas for Halloween. Emailed them yesterday. I LOVE these classy, authentic, brilliant performers. They will always be just two guys who are now my friends. I have read every thing I ueascan about them . A 66 year old groupie!! Who knew!!
